This is a satirical comedy that centers on a conflict between
a wealthy record label owner, his ditzy daughter and a
misunderstood rapper. Director Richard Benjamin plays the
rich music exec whose company releases a rap disc that quickly
creates a firestorm of controversy. The backlash might force
Benjamin's company into bankruptcy. He becomes ill and is unable
to fight back. That's when his grown
daughter, played by Lisa Kudrow, steps in to try to help.
She attempts to get the rap star, played by Damon Wayans,
to apologize for some of his raunchy lyrics, thus quieting
some of the criticism coming from a powerful senator, played by
Christine Baranski. But then the unexpected happens. She
starts to fall in love with him.
